Understand ET/offset, wheel width, inner clearance and how a wheel change moves the tyre inboard or outboard.
Positive ET moves the wheel centreline inward; a lower ET usually pushes the wheel outward.
ET +30 means the mounting face sits 30 mm outward from the wheel centreline. Moving from +30 to +10 shifts each wheel centreline about 20 mm outward, before wheel-width changes are considered.
Outer poke includes both width and offset changes. Inner clearance shows how much closer/further the inner rim sits to suspension components. Track change is driven by the offset change between left and right wheels.
Aggressive offset can increase scrub radius, steering kickback, bearing loads, arch interference and mud spray. Always check hub-centricity, wheel load rating, brake-caliper clearance and legal wheel coverage.
